Directed by P. R. Sreekumar and produced by the Kurinji Cultural Forum, the film tells the story of a boy and girl who were separated because of social mores and longed to meet season after season.
All but two of the actors are debutants. G. Rajkumar of Save Kurinji Campaign Council makes a guest appearance. The film is photographed by Wills Philip and edited by V. Chandrasekhar.
Poet Sugathakumari and writer Perumbadavam Sreedharan inaugurated the screening and launching of the Forum by lighting the traditional lamp.
Bal Pandian and Kala Gokuldas who had acted in in Vallithai, the earlier film under the banner of Kurinji, were presented with mementos at the function.
