Handbook on kurinji released

Thiruvananthapuram, January 7, 2016: The Forest Department has brought out a handbook on kurinji.

The booklet gives comprehensive information on different varieties of kurinji. Prepared by the Wildlife Division of Munnar, the book gives details with pictures of 20 species of kurinji belonging to the genus Strobilanthes.

The Wildlife Division has also introduced online ticketing services for visitors to the Eravikulan National Park. Tickets can be booked from anywhere in the World.

Minister for Forests Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan inaugurated the service in Thiruvananthapuram on January 6.
