Kurinji mobile plan to end on October 18,2008
mobile
Kurinji has even stirred the imagination of mangers of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). One of their pre-paid mobile subscription plans is named after kurinji. What links the plan to kurinji is the 12-year validity period. If you buy the starter pack for Rs. 249, all incoming calls will be free for 12 years.

The catch is that you will have to recharge with at least a top-up card of Rs. 100 denomination once in every six months if you want to get calls free until the next flowering of kurinji (on the hills by the side of Kochi Madurai highway at Thalakkulam). If you want to get free calls beyond that, it would depend on the Central Government renewing the mobile license of BSNL-- the current license expires in 2020.

You have to rush, for both the offer and the kurinji bloom at Thalakkulam would not last beyond October 18. The Tamil Nadu circle of BSNL is promoting the package and rates for calls within Tamil Nadu will be only 99 paise per call.
